The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA) is an annual event that supports schools to work with their school communities to find practical and lasting solutions to bullying and violence.
This year, it will be held on Friday 18 August, with a national theme of “Growing Connections”.
Brighton Secondary School was fortunate to receive a $500 grant to fund a project to help prevent bullying and violence. We are looking forward to working with our Student Wellbeing Leaders team to identify a way to engage our school community in a student-led initiative or learning about bullying and violence.
The Bullying. No Way! website provides advice and information for parents and families to understand, respond to and prevent bullying.
Students who may be experiencing bullying at school are encouraged to talk to a trusted adult, or complete an online Wellbeing Referral through the BSS Portal to seek support from the Wellbeing Team.
