Year 10 students will be attending the road safety presentation, Street Smart High, on Tuesday 24 September.
Road crashes are one of the leading causes of death for people under the age of 25. Street Smart High is an annual road safety event that demonstrates to students the realities of road trauma.
The one-day event also gives young and soon-to-be drivers the knowledge they need to stay safe on the roads.
The event is incredibly impactful for the students, including hearing first-hand accounts from people impacted, as well as watching a crash simulation. Members from the wellbeing team as well as the student’s home group teachers will be attending to ensure the students are supported and get the most out of the day.
More information, including consent forms, will be sent home closer to the date.
