Special Interest Volleyball News – Term 4

News & Events 16/10/2024

Term 4 is always an actioned packed term in Special Interest Volleyball. As the weather gets a little warmer, we will look to utilise our beach volleyball courts.

On Monday 18 November we are taking all Year 7 and 8 SIV students to compete in the Volleyball SA Beach Festival in Glenelg. This is a great opportunity to provide students with some exposure to beach volleyball, competing against other local schools.

Student leadership within SIV is something that we highly value. All Year 11 SIV students will have the opportunity to apply for SIV Program Captain and Vice Captain roles for 2025. These roles are pivotal in providing a student perspective to decision making, support the SIV Program’s key events, and shaping the continual development of our culture. We encourage all Year 11s to consider this opportunity and apply.

After celebrating the success of being crowned the Champion School at the SA State Schools Cup in Term 3, we shift our focus to the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup, hosted on the Gold Coast in Week 9. We are pleased to be taking 20 teams with us to the event with the focus to put our skills on display, competing against the best volleyball schools in the country.
