It has been pleasing to welcome our Senior School students back to school for Term 3. For our Year 12 students Term 3 is particularly significant as it will be their last full term attending classes. We know this will bring with it some mixed emotions.
As the due dates approach, we remind our families of the support the Senior School team can provide you and your young person to navigate these challenges. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Welcome Assemblies
To commence the term all year levels have held a Welcome Assembly during which reminders regarding the following were shared:
- Year 12 Retreat and Thrive Week – the engagement and positive participation of our Senior School students in both the Retreat and the Thrive Week activities at the end of last term was acknowledged. Young people were encouraged to reflect on their learnings from these experiences and use them as they prepare for Semester 2 classes.
- Expectations and Routines – a set of expectations and routines that will help us to keep our school safe, clean and focused on learning were introduced.
- Signing In and Out Processes – Young people were reminded of the need to sign in and out when leaving or re-entering the site and provided with information regarding when this may be needed (eg. to attend an offsite appointment etc). The expectation is that students will remain onsite during all break times and are not permitted to leave the site to purchase food etc.
- Uniform – Given we are in the colder months; young people were reminded of the need to ensure that they are adhering to the policy and wearing BSS uniform items only to stay warm.
