All year 11s will be part of a presentation and workshop, where the Sammy D Foundation will educate young people on the impacts of bullying, and drug and alcohol-fuelled violence. By providing relevant age-appropriate knowledge and tools, young people are empowered to make positive life decisions for a better community.
The presentation will occur on Wednesday 28 June, where students will hear the story of Sam Davis and are given examples of the characteristics of violence and the consequences that is has on victims, bystanders, families, friends and the broader community.
After the presentation, students will participate in small group workshops on Monday 3 July or Friday 7 July. with a focus on harm, impact and consequences, warning signs and de-escalation strategies.
