Hello and welcome to the 2024 school year as part of our Brighton Secondary School community!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, filled with joy and cherished moments with your family and loved ones.
We began the year with a staggered start to Week 1, allowing us to focus on ensuring a smooth transition for our Year 7 students entering high school and supporting our Year 12 students embarking on their final year of study. Monday also saw orientation programs for students joining us from other schools and our new international students.
On Tuesday we warmly welcomed back our students in Years 8 to 11, completing our 2024 student cohort. Throughout the first week, we’ve tailored programs for each year level to ensure everyone has the best start possible, including ‘welcome back’ and house assemblies, along with various engaging home group activities.
Term 1 promises to be a lively one, with features including our Swimming Carnival, Challenge Cup for Year 7s and 8s, Sports Day, and Acquaintance Evenings for families. Lookout for more information about these events in the coming weeks.
