Dear Families,
On Wednesday 28 August, Brighton Secondary School will be offering Parent-Student-Teacher Conversations for all students as part of our Assessment and Reporting processes. These conversations give you and your young person the opportunity to seek feedback on their academic progress so far and strategies to support their success in the second semester.
Conversations will be held from 11am until 7 pm and will be online as this provides the greatest flexibility for families. We will be using the digital platform WebEx. Bookings will open from Monday 12 August at 4:00pm and will close on Monday 26 August at 5pm.
Please be aware that Year 7 Maths, Science, English and HASS will not be available at this time. Instead, Year 7 families/caregivers will be invited to attend the Year 7 Exhibition of Learning occurring on the Thursday of Week 10, September 26. Parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to listen to their young person present about their learning from throughout the year and connect with their student’s core subject teachers during this time. More information regarding this event will be provided in the coming weeks.
Bookings will take place through Daymap – instructions are shown in the links below. Initially, bookings will be limited to a maximum of 6 per student and, depending on availability, we may be able to make further bookings available leading up to the day.

If you are unavailable on Wednesday 28 August or are unable to make appointments with some teachers, you are welcome and encouraged to contact your young person’s teachers at any time for information in relation to their learning and wellbeing. This also applies where some teaching staff are not available for appointments on the day. These staff will contact families regarding their availability.
Please remember to also check Daymap for your young person’s Continuous Assessment, which shows their progress through the year.
