I would like to warmly welcome our Middle School students and families back from the mid-year break, especially new students and families joining our community this term.
As mentioned below in the Middle School staffing update, I have resumed my role as Head of Middle School and would like to thank Carly Brooks for leading the Middle School during Semester 1.
Middle School Staffing Update
The following staff have joined the school as Middle School Home Group teachers at the start of Term 3.

We also welcome back Lucy Burg-Ascoli to the role of Year 8 Leader. Lucy will share the role of Year 8 Leader with Cindy Rudduck until the end of Week 3 when Cindy begins her maternity leave.
Carly Brooks has resumed her role as Year 7 Leader from the start of this term.
Welcome Assemblies
To commence the term all year levels have held a Welcome Assembly during which reminders regarding the following were shared:
- Expectations and Routines – A set of expectations and routines that will help us to keep our school safe, clean and focused on learning were introduced with students. Classroom teachers will support students further on what these look like in their classroom.
- Uniform – Given we are still in the colder months, our students were reminded of the need to ensure that they are adhering to the policy and wearing BSS uniform items only to stay warm.
- Key Dates – Upcoming events and key dates for Term 3 were shared with the students.
- Congratulations – There were a range of outstanding achievements by our Middle School students in their Semester 1 subjects, on the sporting field and in other areas. These achievements will be further recognised in the Week 2 House Assemblies.
Tarni Warra Homework Club
A reminder that students are able to access the downstairs space in Tarni Warra from 9am on Wednesday mornings. Students are supervised during this time to complete school work until 10am when they are asked to prepare for their first lesson.
