Location and Environment

Brighton Secondary School is a large secondary school for students in Years 8-12 which is located approximately 12 kilometres south west of the city in an attractive coastal suburb of South Australia.

Situated within the City of Holdfast Bay local council area it is located within a major tourist area, which boasts popular beachside cafes, restaurants, libraries, beaches, the Glenelg tram, hotels and extensive retail opportunities.

The school is well serviced by train and bus routes and is located approximately 6 kilometres from the Adelaide Airport.

Brighton Secondary School has a current enrolment of approximately 1690 students, 640 of whom are senior students in Years 11, 12 and 13.

The school has a proud record of high academic achievement, with the majority of students achieving their desired goals for entry into tertiary institutions such as Adelaide University, Flinders University and the University of South Australia.
