Facilities
Brighton Secondary School provides high quality learning facilities for modern teaching and authentic student learning.
Tarni Warra
The Tarni Warra building caters to Middle School students in Years 7-9 with general learning spaces, STEM labs, and collaborative areas. Year Level Leaders, Wellbeing Support, and other key staff are available to Middle School students in this space as well as being the space for a range of clubs and extra-curricular activities. For Year 7 students, this forms a safe “home base” for their lockers, homegroup and a majority of lessons, before they start expanding out to the rest of the school in Year 8 and 9 progressively.
Tarni Warra includes a Maker Spaces and think tanks to foster innovation and creativity as part of the learning process.


Senior Study Centre
The recently refurbished Senior Study Centre provides Years 10, 11, and 12 with purpose-built study areas, flexible furniture, and wellbeing spaces, provides a similar hub for our senior school students.

Library
Our school library is a dynamic learning space featuring a continually updated collection of books to engage and inspire readers of all ages. With flexible furniture and adaptable layouts, the library supports diverse learning opportunities, from independent study to collaborative group work, as well as being equipped with a range of digital learning tools to enhance classroom learning and engagement.


Science, technology and innovation
The Mawson building supports Technology Studies and Home Economics. The school offers a range of courses from traditional woodwork and metal work, through to digital technologies and programming, photography, food and fashion. To support career pathways, the school also provides spaces for Vocational Education & Training Courses such as Electrotechnology.
Our extensive number of science labs provides opportunities for students to have hands on learning experiences and makes way for students to participate in many practical activities across the year.
Arts & performance
Brighton Secondary School is a hub for artistic expression and cultural engagement. Our Special Interest Music program is a standout feature, offering students exceptional opportunities to develop their musical talents. The Hudson Music Centre, along with the Concert Hall and Theatre in the Brighton Performing Arts Centre, provides state-of-the-art facilities for music and drama lessons, rehearsals, and performances. This program extends beyond the classroom, with students participating in various ensembles, competitions, and community events.
The Dallwitz Building supports a broad curriculum including subjects like visual arts and media studies. Our facilities encourage students to explore their artistic passions and contribute to a vibrant school culture, which has recently included the development of a number of school murals to brighten outdoor spaces.



Sports & recreation
Brighton Secondary School is renowned for its Special Interest Volleyball program, with a dedicated stadium and beach volleyball courts. Providing multiple court styles and dedicated facilities supports high quality teaching and learning in a professional environment.
The Gymnasium offers multipurpose sports spaces as well as a weights room and spin bike area. Our 2 large ovals and outdoor courts also provide spaces for classes to explore a range of sports as well as spaces for students to play during breaktimes.
