Students are accepted into the Bright Programs by application and interview. The application and interview process takes place in Term 1 of each year. Students are required to submit a short video addressing the application criteria.
If shortlisted, students attend a challenge based selection process and interview. They must be prepared to demonstrate and discuss their leadership and problem-solving skills, and how they have showed initiative and an interest in rigorous learning. Evidence of these attributes should also be brought to the interview.
If shortlisted, students attend a workshop that provides opportunity to demonstrate creative problem solving skills in groups. If shortlisted from the workshop, students will be required to perform an audition piece and interview.
The STEM Bright program will no longer be offered at Brighton Secondary School as STEM now forms part of the curriculum learning in mainstream classrooms.
Applications for both Think Bright and Company Bright close on FRIDAY 20 MARCH 2020
Applicants will receive a letter indicating the outcome of their application.
