Paul Welzel - Brighton Secondary School International Student

What I most like at Brighton Secondary School is the nice atmosphere between teacher and pupils.

What are your favourite subjects and why?
My favourite subjects are Photography and Media Studies because I can learn a lot of useful things for life e.g. how to make a good slideshow or a film.

If you were to encourage other international students to study at Brighton Secondary School what would you say to them?
Come to Brighton Secondary School! There are a lot of nice people, committed teachers and a nice atmosphere. You will look forward to going to school nearly every day.

How do you find your teachers and support staff?
The teachers are very committed at Brighton. They normally have a lot of understanding for international students. When you don’t understand something, just ask and you get a lot of help.

What is different about Brighton Secondary School?
The first thing is the way of teaching. Every pupil gets a Macbook so the lessons are usually on the laptop. It is from my view much more effective especially for international students because you can simply look up words you don’t understand.

Describe the 2 best things you did while living and studying in Adelaide.

  1. Going jogging on the beach as often as possible.
  2. Traveling.
